Women's Business Grants - Women's Financial Fund

Ten things that will get your grant application denied
Tip # 9 - Submitting too late

Sure, your grant application is perfect, the grant is perfectly suited for you, so you think the grant awarding committee surely won't mind that your application is three weeks late. WRONG. Make sure you submit your application before the deadline. If you are mailing it, make sure it is mailed at least one week (but better if it is two weeks) prior to the deadline so you know it will be received in time. Don't think that you can just make sure your application is postmarked on the deadline date, unless it specifically states that in the business grant details. You want to make sure it is received by the deadline.
